Senior Audit Manager
Position Overview
The role requires a Senior Audit Manager to direct and oversee audit engagements which includes reviewing planning, project management, delegating, attending to employee queries, liaising with clients and report to the Partner. The Senior Audit Manager is responsible for multiple audit engagements at any given time. The expectation is that the Senior Audit Manager’s focus will be on client engagement, quality assurance and practice management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and Planning: Oversee and review audit planning, ensuring comprehensive assessments.
- Thorough Review: Conduct meticulous reviews of working papers to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
- Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to Partners on ongoing audit engagements' status.
- Client Relationship Management: Manage and nurture client relationships through consistent visits and effective communication.
- Anticipate and Address Issues: Proactively anticipate and address client concerns and issues.
- Exceptional Client Service: Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional client service standards.
- Staff Development: Participate in staff planning meetings to balance project needs and trainee development.
- Collaboration and Guidance: Collaborate with Audit Partners on complex procedures, ensuring high-quality work.
- Feedback and Error Resolution: Provide teams with constructive feedback on identified errors and guide resolution processes.
- Quality Control: Oversee the lockdown of corrected sections and ensure compliance with audit standards.
- Audit Initiation: Engage with the Audit Partner and team for opening meetings before audits commence.
- Review Note Clarity: Ensure review notes are comprehensive and clear for proper error understanding and compliance.
- Timely Review Clearances: Set timelines for clearing review notes, enabling second reviews and ensuring thoroughness.
- Training and Development: Responsible for the training and development of Trainees and Audit Managers, facilitating knowledge sharing and skills transfer.
- Identify Knowledge Gaps: Identify knowledge gaps in Trainees and Audit Managers, communicating these to Quality Control Managers.
- Quality Improvement: Collaborate with Quality Management to design training interventions aimed at enhancing quality.
- Active Participation: Engage in Quality Control and Management meetings, contributing to quality enhancement initiatives.
- Performance Management: Actively participate in the performance management process, conducting feedback conversations, and assisting in performance improvement plans.
- Disbursement Approval: Approval authority for disbursements within designated limits.
